Who We Are
DFM was founded by Patrick Dougherty in 2003 to produce high quality equipment for removal of invasive trees such as cedar and tamarack.
2003-2009
With the growth of commercial farming in the 2000s, it was becoming more difficult to keep invasive trees from spreading. DFM grew rapidly by manufacturing efficient attachments and methods to fight the spread.
With the rapid growth of sales, Andrew Dougherty was brought on as vice president in 2005 to help production.
2010-2019
Always committed to the responsible business practices, in 2012 Patrick and Andrew built a 27K sqft facility in their small home town of Hinton, OK.
The Hinton facility built many thousands of products however by 2018 the product line had evolved into much more complex equipment and it became obvious that DFM had outgrown Hinton.
2020-Present
In 2021 DFM purchase land in a strategic location on the west side of OKC for a new a state of the art facility for future production.
DFM broke ground on the El Reno facility in August of 2023 and in 2024 moved all operations to this location.
A core value at DFM is, and always will be, customer service. DFM products are a solution to our customer's problems now and into the future.

Factory Information
Our 35,000sq manufacturing facility is located in El Reno Oklahoma on historic route 66 just west of Oklahoma City. This location utilizes the latest advancements in CNC based manufacturing processes. Not only ensuring extremely accurate tolerances, but guaranteeing complete product uniformity and quality control.
Our Process
Before each of our attachments reaches the hands of the end user the design must be proven worthy of our name, this involves hundreds of hours of prototype testing before production begins. We start our design process with comprehensive stress analysis on the materials used, when one of our products has passed this phase of development it is shipped to an offsite location for real world torture testing. This involves our test operators spending months gathering data on real world problems that cannot be calculated on a computer. Any problem that may surface requires the unit to be brought back, and disassembled. The failure is identified and addressed and then the unit is sent back to the field for further testing. Only when the product can hold up in to the most grueling offsite testing without any failures do we consider it production ready. All of this is done with a singular goal in mind…to provide our customers with exceptional land clearing products
