Do I need a "forestry package" skid loader

No. The Mastodon will operate on any skid steer or track loader with 70+hp and because the carbide planer teeth limit the size of thrown debris, no forestry door is needed.

Do I need high flow hydraulics?

The Mastodon has the largest hydraulic motor on the market and since torque is tied to displacement and pressure even a standard flow has excellent torque.High flow will allow the drum to recover quicker under load and help on trees above 8" however the Mastodon will work on standard flow.

Do I need an auxiliary Hydraulic Cooler?

No, rotor stall while operating is the main cause of excessive heat in hydraulic forestry mulchers. The Mastodon is the only mulcher with depth control teeth and an electro-variable motor both of which all but eliminate rotor stall.The Mastodon runs cooler and cuts faster than the competition.

Do I need a case drain?
